Fluorescent Invisible Detection Paste should be used in those situations where powders and powder aerosols are inappropriate due to air circulation, air moisture content or where target object surface condition prohibits application. Detection paste is suitable for outdoors application. It is water-resistant and will remain tranferrabe for prolonged periods of time. It has the consistency of ordinary automobile grease. Apply a thin film on target objects using disposable vinyl or polyethylene gloves.

Consider these factors when making your selection:

1. Colour (choose a paste the same colour as the object to be marked).
2. Effect of weather conditions on exterior surfaces.  Erosion is minimized by the use of paste rather than powder.

Paste is excellent for use on door knobs, locks, alarm pulls, secure phones and vehicles both indoors and outdoors. Tube packaging allows for controlled application. Use with any UV light.

Good adhesion properties aid in target to hand, body or clothing contact. Apply a light dusting to target object with a soft bristle brush. Used in situations where you do not want the transfer color to be visible, but only seen under ultra violet light .

To camouflage the detection powder, choose a powder the same colour as the object to be marked.

Detection pastes may be used indoors or outdoors without regard to air circulation. Consideration for rain or high moisture and air content should be addressed before applying pastes to a target object since the dye in the compound is water soluble. Simply squeese a small amount of paste on the target object in the area that a hand would have to touch, and spread a thin, even coat that will blend this the objects colour.ALWAYS protect hands with disposable gloves when performing this task. If the target object is touched, transfer will occur and the aqueous dye in the paste will go into solution with perspiration, facial fluids or water with a resulting vivid color appearing.

Should only be used indoors. It should be carefully dusted on the object with a soft applicator brush. When contact with the object is made, a transfer occurs. When the transferred powder contacts moisture, such as perspiration, facial fluids or water, the powder goes into solution and a resulting vivid color appears.

If the object you are treating is porous, the object will be permanently discoloured i.e. paper, cardboard, money, textile products.  Non porous objects can be restored or cleaned.  Also, be careful on objects subject to air flow.  Protect hands with disposable gloves.
