For Canadian: Under the light, in new series, BANK OF CANADA glows in interlocking colours of yellow and red over the portrait.  Look for random security fibres, some glowing yellow and some glowing red.

In older series, the COAT OF ARMS AND TEXT BANK OF CANADA glows blue over the portrait.  Look for random security fibres that glow red.

Also, if the bill is real, it does not change colour  If the bill is bad, the entire bill will glow.

For US: If the bill is real, there is no color change. If the bill is bad, the whole bill will glow.  Check also for a security thread that runs vertical.  This security thread is a different colour on each denomination.

Other Uses: Will detect hidden hologram on credit card, passports, driver's license, and travelers cheques.
