• Access ports on both sides to allow for chest, cardiac monitoring and medical intervention if required without removing patient from the bag.
• Two other ports to access upper extremities to monitor pulses, BP, skin texture and initiate Intravenous lines
• Full body access is also immediately available in seconds via a top mounted full length zipper
• Patient's head is fully accessible
• Under extreme climatic conditions, the patient can be totally closed in. It is important to allow a small opening for breathing
• Fleece fabric located at the patient's head adds protection to bare skin around face.

Although the H.R.B. is spaciously designed to handle a fully immobilized patient if need be, it will easily fit into a rescue basket or plastic stretcher for evacuation. Manufactured with Sampson and Cordura non-allergenic fabric, it is designed for rugged conditions. There are three (3) handles, on each side plus one at each end. Small design changes will be incorporated into this system so that the H.R.B. can be pulled over snow for a short distance. Client must request this option. The H.R.B. comes in bright medical orange with reflective stripes for high visibility. One externally mounted pocket will hold small items. You may request larger, or other pockets.

We were asked to design a new vest specific to the needs of the RCMP Civilian Search Dog Association. Since there were no vests out there that offered what this team needed we designed one. Small modifications to this vest can be done to match your needs. We will need to know the type of radio system you use so as to design the radio harness for your radio. This vest comes with three adjustable straps on each side so as to fit small and large size adults. NOTE: Some of the photos here show the vest without these adjustable straps, however, all vests come with adjustable straps. It comes with silver reflective strips at the front and back of the vest.
 
There are pockets large enough to accommodate note books, maps, lanyard, rolls of colored ribbon, whistles, pocket knives, pens, penlights, measuring tape, compass, GPS, rain gear, scent powder bottle, and more. We have included a 500 ml water bottle mesh pocket on the left side and a bear spray mesh pocket on the right side. There are grommets placed in strategic locations to accommodate whistle, dog toy.
 
There are two large pockets located inside the front of the vest.
 
The back of the vest is actually a very large pocket with a smaller opening on the side. This pocket is large enough to accommodate a blanket. There is also a large external pocket on the back of the vest designed to accommodate bulky material.
